TBR list, etc.
My everlasting To Be Read list has grown again, as it is wont to do. I’ve ordered Linda Clare’s The Fence My Father Built, and I’ve pre-ordered J. Mark Bertrand’s Pattern of Wounds, which won’t show up on my doorstep until it releases in July. I also have a small stack of books from the library and a pile of “Coastal Living” and “Architectural Digests” from a yard sale, which I bought for a novelist friend who’s researching ritzy homes for a series of books. I’ll enjoy them for a little while before I pass them on to her.
Honestly, I wouldn’t want to live in a hoity-toity house like the ones in the magazines, but it’s interesting to see how filthy-rich folks live. It appears that they have plenty of money to spend on items like hundred-dollar swimming trunks for little boys who’ll outgrow them in one summer. Hmm. Okay. That makes my little book-buying habit look frugal in comparison. (Bless you, filthy-rich folks. I knew you were good for something.)
Meanwhile, author Jane Kirkpatrick is hosting a Q&A with yours truly, right here. She’ll draw a name from those who leave comments, with the winner receiving an autographed copy of When Sparrows Fall. If you’re interested, leave a comment soon because I’m not sure when the drawing will close.
And what does your TBR list look like? I’m always on the look-out for good books to read. Please share.
