Retreat, Take 2
Last week I was privileged to be part of a WaterBrook Multnomah authors’ retreat near beautiful Colorado Springs. From left to right, that’s senior marketing manager Amy Haddock, editor Shannon Marchese, and then the authors: me, Mona Hodgson, Lori Benton, Kim Vogel Sawyer, Joanne Bischoff, Cindy Woodsmall, Mindy Starns Clark, and my roomie Katie Ganshert. I had a wonderful time, learned a lot, and came away inspired and grateful.
I loved visiting the offices too, where we met many of the people who work behind the scenes and indulged in one of my favorite pastimes: talking about books with fellow book-lovers. After three days packed with activities, devotions, workshops, great food, beautiful scenery, and plenty of laughter, we headed home again. Many, many thanks to the whole WaterBrook Multnomah team, not just for the retreat but also for being so kind, dedicated, and all-around wonderful.
(I’m calling this Take 2 because when I first posted it a couple of days ago, it insisted on being entirely underlined. That’s hard on the eyes, so I trashed the original, glitchy post. Let’s see how badly I can mess up this one….)
